How your words move
Audio
Dictaro never receives your audio. When you press Start, your browser listens and sends the audio to its own speech service, which returns text: Google's in Chrome, Microsoft's in Edge, Apple's in Safari. Their privacy policies cover that step.
Text and history
Your dictation, draft, settings, vocabulary and history are saved in your browser's local storage on this device. Clearing your browser data removes them. We can't see them.
AI rewrite
When you press a rewrite button, the text you're rewriting is sent to our server and on to our AI provider to produce the rewrite. We don't store it and it isn't used to train models.
Analytics
We record page views, button clicks and campaign tags (like utm_source) without cookies, to learn which pages help people. Events contain no dictation text.
Email sign-ups
If you give us your email for price-change alerts, we store it with the page you signed up on, and use it only for that. Email robbyjsocials@gmail.com to be removed.
